Sørco holds long term frame agreements with both the operator Marathon Oil Company and Maersk as the operations contractor for the Alvheim FPSO. The Alvheim area comprises the Kneler, Boa and Kameleon fields operated by Marathon Oil Company. The nearby third party fields Vilje and Volund are subsea developments tied back to the Alvheim FPSO.

Marathon started production in 2008 from the Alvheim FPSO. In 2007, Sørco was awarded a Project Interim Contract/Modification Contract, assisting Marathon in final completion and start-up of production and providing support during ongoing operations.
 
Sørco has EPCI responsibility for both maintenance and modifications. The scope of work includes the following:
 
- Commissioning assistance and completion of project punch items from the project development phase
- Assistance in hand-over from project to operations
- Execution of necessary modifications to utility and process systems
- Redesign and implementation of new SAS HMI system
- Engineering studies - asset development opportunities
- Planning and execution of turnarounds
- Weight & stability reporting for the FPSO
- Establishing and maintaining a global 3D CAD model for the FPSO
- Maintain Engineering Database and Commissioning Database
- Update Operation Procedures and Maintenance System in SAP for vessel systems and topsides production systems
