The Draupner S and E riser platforms serve as hubs for many of the pipelines from Norway’s gas producers. The most important functions on the platforms are pressure, volume and quality control of gas export deliveries to Europe.

Sørco delivered a unified concept for integrating computer-based training (CBT) and electronic operations documentation (EOD).

We developed individual PC-based courses for training of operators to handle daily operations. The CBT was developed on the basis of defined shutdown levels for Draupner and provides a detailed description of start-up procedures from cold plant to full operation. The courses also include an introduction to the shutdown system on Draupner as well as process descriptions.
