This assignment involved maintenance preparations for cranes upgrade programs on Oseberg C and on other StatoilHydro installations like Troll, Brage, Grane, Oseberg East and Njord.

The upgrading projects embrace conversion and enhancement of various systems on the cranes in order to satisfy new regulatory requirements and improve regularity. This creates requirements for procurement and updating of documentation, maintenance programmes and spare parts.  A structuring of the crane maintenance programme has been carried out to provide a standard for all new crane modifications. In addition, work included impact classification and follow-up of reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) analyses carried out by the equipment suppliers.
