The Smørbukk satelite-field is tied back to the Åsgard B platform through the Åsgard N template. Low reservoir pressure and lack of pressure support in the north-eastern part of the field have prompted a shutdown of two production wells. To bring them back on stream and boost output, topside modifications on Åsgard B to facilitate low-pressure production through separation under low pressure was initiated.

Spare recompression capacity is used to bring the gas up to the pressure required for further processing in the system. Sørco was awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract to execute the necessary topside modifications for low-pressure production from the N
template on Åsgard. The project also included some preparations for the Tyrihans tie-in to Åsgard B.
