About Apply Sørco
Apply Sørco is a leading multidiscipline engineering company specializing in contracts across all project phases, from concept development and studies to completion and commissioning. In addition, we offer a range of services covering operations and maintenance and modifications of oil and gas production facilities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
Our head office is in Stavanger with offices in Bergen and Hammerfest. We have a subsidiary in Cracow, Poland supporting us on projects within multidiscipline engineering, including study activities.
Apply Sørco was established in 1979 as an engineering design contractor for the oil and gas industry. Since then, the company has progressed to become a supplier of complete turnkey projects for maintenance, modifications and operations support contracts for offshore facilities.

Competence and Technology
Apply Sørco is a knowledge-based business, with highly competent and experienced staff within Maintenance and Modifications, FEED, Operations and Engineering. Apply Sørco currently has around 500 employees.
To us, upgrading performance means improving asset value by providing solutions that deliver on both safety for people and technical integrity of the plant, as well as on production and operational efficiency. Chief Executive Officer
Karsten Gudmundset started as CEO for Apply Sørco in September 2016. With degrees from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and in business, he moved from Trondheim to the Stavanger region nearly 30 years ago, starting out as an engineer in Kværner Rosenberg. Before taking the position at Apply Sørco, Karsten was part of the group management in the German Kaefer Group, after having been Managing Director in Kaefer Energy Norway for 8 years.
Prior to this, Karsten has extensive experience from a number of management positions in Kværner and Aker Kvaerner companies, both in Norway and internationally.
Chief Financial Officer
Ronny Meinkøhn was appointed CFO in Apply Sørco in February 2015 after serving as group financial controller for 5 years in Apply AS. Prior to joining Apply AS, Ronny held the position as group financial controller at Norse Cutting & Abandonment AS. He started his career as an auditor in Ernst & Young in 2003.
Ronny holds an Msc in finance from Norwegian School of Economics.
Kjell Ove Lie
Vice President Maintenance and Modification
Kjell Ove Lie has been head of maintenance and modification in Apply Sørco since November 2012. He has 30 years of experience from the oil and gas industry. Before joining Apply Sørco in 2010, Kjell Ove held positions in Hamworthy Oil & Gas systems, Aibel, Vetco AIbel, ABB Offshore Systems, Umoe and Petrovest.
Kjell Ove was educated within electrical and automation engineering at Grimstad technical college and Arendal technical college, and have during the last 30 years served in positions within Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, Department and BU/BA management both local as well as internationally.
Vice President Modifications
Nine is holding an MSc degree from NTNU, Institute of Marine Technology. Her professional background comprises 23 years in the Oil & Gas industry within the fields of Project management, design, engineering for fabrication and installation, tendering, and business development. Company background ranges from Subsea 7, Eidesvik Subsea,Technip Norway, to Shell the last 7 years working in the Netherlands, Australia, and Norway.
Vice President Operation and Engineering services
Agnar Kongshaug has been head of Operation and Engineering Services in Apply Sørco since October 2012, after serving as managing director for Apply Altra since 2011. Agnar has more than 20 years of experience from the offshore engineering industry on different levels. In addition to general upper management, he has been manager of projects of different categories; technical information, system development and implementation, maintenance engineering, concept and feed studies, and detail design.
Agnar holds an MSc in Marine Technology Engineering from Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Vice President Business Development
Cecilie Drange joined Apply Sørco as VP – Business Development in April 2018.
She has wide experience from the oil and gas industry ranging from field operations, operations management to sales and account management.
Before taking on the position at Apply Sørco, Cecilie has worked for large corporations such as Schlumberger, Baker Hughes and Weatherford, both in Norway and internationally.
Cecilie holds an MSc in Metallurgical and Materials engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Vice President Resource and Technical
Brynjulf Nodland has been VP – Resources and Technical in Apply Sørco since November 2013. He has more than 30 years of experience from the oil and gas industry. The experience includes competencies from areas like MD responsibilities, Board of Directors responsibilities, Resource Management, Project Management, Engineering, Studies, Commissioning, Mechanical Completion, Follow up of fabrication, installation and hook-up work etc. The experiences are gained from companies and projects within the Newbuilding-, Modification-, M&M-, Hook-Up- and Subsea Development Technology markets. Brynjulf previously held positions in Emerson/Roxar, Statoil, Bjørge, Kværner and Aker.
Brynjulf was educated at the Norwegian Business School and Bergen University College.
Vice President HSEQ
Astrid Aadnøy has been leading the health, safety, environment and quality work in Apply Sørco since February 2010. She has more than 25 years of experience within the oil and gas industry related to HSE&Q management and human resources, implementation and follow up of management systems within HSE, Quality and Risk Management. Before joining Apply Sørco, Astrid held positions in Kværner Rosenberg, Kværner Oil & Gas and Rosenberg Verft.
Astrid was educated at Teknologisk Institutt, Stord/Haugesund University College and Rogaland regional College.
Vice President Studies
Trond is holding an MSc degree from NTNU (Institute of Marine Technology) and his professional background comprises of 20 years in the Oil & Gas industry. His main expertise lays within the fields of operations/project management, design engineering through all development phases, tendering and business development. Before joining Apply Sørco in 2019, Trond has previously held various management positions within Wood, J P Kenny, Subsea7, Halliburton, and ABB.
Vice President System Technology
Kenneth Skråmestø joined Apply Sørco as VP System Technology in January 2019.
He earlier hold the Managing Director post in Apply Rig & Modules. Kenneth has worked for corporations such as Archer , Keppel and Athene Solutions (Now a part of WOOD), both in Norway and internationally.
He has 19 years of experience from the oil and gas industry in positions like Engineer, Project manager, Area Manager Engineering and Product Manager.
Kenneth was educated at Nanyang Business School as a part of Young Leaders in Keppel WW
